Starting from a blank slate, the dynamic team at Wafuken approached us to develop their brand, starting with their name. After many sessions of brainstorming sessions, we arrived at the name “Wafuken“ and concept. While serving Japanese fusion cuisine, the modern brand seeks to be sensitive to its roots in Japanese sensibility. The logo was designed with easy visibility on the varied collaterals and materials due to its high contrast with the dark grey and white shapes.
From there onwards, we expanded the brand platform to include many other collaterals and communication materials such as menu, website and social media promotion, print ads. We also consulted with the Interior Design firm to ensure brand coherency for the environmental branding of the outlets.
The menu was designed to be simple in presentation to the customer yet offering flexibility and variety at the same time. The first screen is animated to showcase close up of the protein options available.
